Wir haben die Pendelleuchte über unserem rechteckigen Esstisch hängen - es war die Empfehlung eines Beleuchters - und muss sagen, dass die Lampe wirklich ein super Tipp war, auch die Farbe "schlamm", ein unaufdringliches warm-grau ist toll. Die moderne, zeitlose Form hat Klassikerpotential und passt zu fast jedem Einrichtungsstil. Bei uns hängt sie bei einer Raumhöhe von 4,50m von der Decke, doch auch das war kein Problem, da das mitgelieferte Kabel lang genug war, um sie auf 60cm über Esstischhöhe anzubringen. Müsste man die Lampe neu verkabeln und die genietete Verbindung lösen, verfällt nämlich leider die Herstellergarantie.Das wichtigste Feature einer Lampe ist aber natürlich ihr Licht und hier ist die Smithfield Pendelleuchte wirklich top. Sie ist die optimale Esstischlampe: hell, blendfrei und trotzdem warm und gemütlich mit einem großen Leuchtradius. Dabei pflegeleicht. Bei den Ausführungen scheint es Unterschiede zu geben, denn unser Modell kann auch gedimmt werden.Die Reinigung ist denkbar einfach: den Schirm aussen mit Staubtuch und hin und wieder Glasreiniger abwischen. Unten ist die Lampe durch einen Diffusor geschlossen, d.h. innen staubt nichts ein und man schaut auch nicht von unten in die Glühbirne.Übrigens passt sie witzigerweise sowohl farblich als auch von der Formgebung sehr gut zur Porzellanreihe "Nuro" von WMF.
